goodwin, who runs photography studio archmospheres, began shooting the studios as a way to understand how they differentiate between each countries and continents. the spaces include a number of renovated structures, as well as purpose-built facilities. more than 100 MAD employees operate from inside a former printing works, while foster + partners’ riverside HQ was built by the firm in 1990, and forms the lower three storeys of a mixed-use development.

marc goodwin manages archmospheres with mathieu fiol — who shot the paris studios alongside goodwin — and cecilia galera. through an ‘attention to atmosphere’, the team works to restore a sense of place that they say is lacking in the majority of commercial photography. read on for a selection of archmospheres’ photography to date, as goodwin continues to document the working environments of architecture’s biggest names.
